Herbal rinses are very effective in strengthening the hair and scalp. Rosemary acts as a conditioning tonic; stimulating hair growth, aids in shine and helping with dandruff. Tea tree moisturizes the scalp, eliminates bacteria/fungal problems and prevents hair loss while lavender is a great treatment for alopecia, controlling itchiness, dandruff and breakage.
You will need:
7 sprigs of dried rosemary
2-5 drops of lavender and tea tree essential
2 cups of water
Mess High: Mild
1. Place water and rosemary in a pot and allow to come to a boil.
2. Once it has boiled remove the flame.
3. Allow to cool overnight.
4. Place in a spray bottle or old conditioner bottle and focus on the scalp. Using the pads of your fingers to massage your scalp.
5. Follow by co-washing with your desired conditioner
Dried herbs are recommended for this rinse has they more concentrated than fresh ones. For the full article see Health, Hair and Happiness- July and see how I used this rinse.
